This notice describes the processing of personal data when you visit Explorer Sea and contact the company, under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Email enquiries
The website offers links that open your email application. It has no contact form and does not store enquiries in WordPress. If you send an email, we process the sender’s address, message and any other details you provide to answer questions, information requests or requests for quotations. A model or combination selected on the website may be included in the draft email, which is sent only if you choose to send it.
For information and quotation requests relating to a possible purchase, the legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). For general correspondence, it is the controller’s legitimate interest in handling and answering messages (Article 6(1)(f)). Messages are not used for newsletters or marketing. Providing data is optional; without contact details and the necessary information, we cannot answer. Do not send unnecessary special-category data or other people’s personal data.
Browsing data and security
The server may record IP address, date and time, requested resources, browser and error information to provide the website, diagnose problems and protect its security. Processing is based on the legitimate interest in maintaining an operational and secure service. The controller does not use these data for advertising profiling or individual analysis of browsing habits.
Recipients and processing methods
Authorised personnel handle data using electronic tools. The website uses Aruba S.p.A. hosting services; hosting, email and technical support providers may process data as necessary to provide their services, with the arrangements required by law where they act as processors. Data are not publicly disclosed. Contact the controller for information about providers and any transfers outside the European Economic Area.
Retention
Enquiries are retained for the time needed to answer and complete the follow-up requested by the individual; once this purpose has ended, they are deleted, unless a dispute or a retention obligation requires otherwise. Where a contractual relationship follows, necessary data are retained to manage that relationship and meet applicable legal obligations. Technical logs are retained for the time needed for operational management and investigation of anomalies or incidents, according to the hosting configuration. Backups follow the replacement cycle of the service and are not used for additional purposes.
Your rights
Where provided by the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact info@explorersea.it. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority or the competent supervisory authority. No automated decision-making, including profiling, is carried out.
